While poking around under my brother's house looking for a couple of boxes today, I came across this shark's jaw.  Was not expecting that!

My favorite shade of Moreton Bay is the steely blue it turns in winter, with the sky so vividly blue it almost hurts to look at.  I love winter on the Bay.

 

Bit of an overcast sky in Brisbane today - so how lovely to see this wonderful planter full of gorgeous bright pinks and reds while on my wander.

When I dive into arty projects, usually with paints, I get so caught up in the process that I forget to put on an apron. Same same when I’m cooking up a storm. 

Late at night is when my mind finally unwinds from the daily grind, and my focus becomes sharp.  I think I might be a vampire or something.

One of my all-time favourite actors, I can’t imagine anyone else bringing Audrey fforbes-Hamilton (To the Manor Born) and Margo Leadbetter (The Good Life) to life quite the way she did.

70 years old today!  When did that happen?  

 I would do all the things.  And once I finish doing all the things- I'd go back and do them again!

....we dug a little bit too deep in the garden today and broke through a rain water pipe.  All good though because the Brains Trust was on hand to figure out how to fix it.  No one will ever know!

Today's "Day" - International Typewriter Day

June 23, the anniversary of the granting of a patent to American inventor Christopher Latham Sholes in 1868 is celebrated around the world as Typewriter Day. So, take out your old typewriter from the attic, dust it and get started on your magnum opus!

I very much like the idea of writing with a typewriter, but my reality is that I type fast and I make a lot of mistakes that are permanently inked.  No backspacing to erase on a typewriter *sigh*

Isn't it simply perfect? I love the Winter sky - so much more depth of colour than a Summer sky.

Our shortest day of the year - which means we are heading toward Summer again and another half a year wait (give or take) until Autumn is back with us.
